The rules the platform enforces.

The FF Operating Standard and Impact Protocol provide the shared principles, governance, transparency, traceability and evidence framework that support trusted collaboration, compliance management, accountability and measurable outcomes. They are not separate products — they are how the platform works.

Transparency, traceability, accountability, evidence and measurable impact operate across the whole infrastructure and lifecycle. For external regulations and third-party standards the platform supports and documents the compliance process; it does not replace the relevant authority, certifier or verifier.

Six principles. Members accept the Standard at onboarding against a version hash; when v1 is ratified the placeholder is superseded and each acceptance stays on file.

   Decisions are recorded, attributable, and made under rules the members have accepted.

   Outcomes are measured, lessons are captured, and responsibility is named on every record.

   Members participate as themselves and through organizations; collaboration is the default.

5. Value & Fairness

   Value created is shared fairly, and terms are transparent to the parties they affect.

6. Trust & Integrity

   Transparency, traceability, evidence and verification underpin trust across the ecosystem.

FELLOW FUTURE · OPERATING STANDARD v1 (PLACEHOLDER — PENDING RATIFICATION)

This text is a working placeholder. It will be replaced by the ratified Operating Standard. By accepting, you agree that the platform may enforce the rules below until that replacement is published. The section headings follow the six principles of the Standard.

Across the whole infrastructure and lifecycle, five things operate at all times: transparency, traceability, accountability, evidence and measurable impact. Where an external regulation or a third-party standard applies (EUDR, natural-capital methodologies, certification schemes and others), the platform supports and documents the compliance process; it does not replace the relevant authority, certifier or verifier.

1. PURPOSE & ALIGNMENT
You join as a person. You act through an organization when you represent one. Every actor and every opportunity states its purpose and how it aligns with regenerative outcomes. Applications (EUDR, natural capital, commodity offtake and others) are taxonomies and templates on one shared model — not separate products and not forks of this platform.

2. GOVERNANCE & DECISION-MAKING
Decisions are recorded as decision records, attributable to the person and organization that made them. Fellow Future stewards keep the rules: they maintain taxonomies, review verification, curate gateways, and can see the audit log. They do not rewrite evidence. Publication of an opportunity, its development stage and the pathways it uses are separate, explicit choices made by its owner.

3. LEARNING & ACCOUNTABILITY
Every material action writes an append-only evidence record: who acted, who is responsible, when it occurred, from which source, at what assurance level, and what it links to. Evidence is never edited or deleted through this platform. An incorrect or outdated record is corrected by a new superseding record; the original stays on the trail marked superseded. Outcomes are measured against the FF Impact Protocol and lessons are recorded so the ecosystem learns.

4. PARTICIPATION & COLLABORATION
Membership is by acceptance of this Standard. The directory distinguishes individuals from organizations and shows a verification tier for each. Members collaborate through the marketplace, the Impact Hub, events, academy, advisory and accelerator, and through gateways such as Regenera that connect opportunities with capital, expertise and execution capacity in both directions.

5. VALUE & FAIRNESS
Agreements and commitments are records. Licensed settlement, custody, and any distributed-ledger anchoring are out of scope. Do not treat a commitment on this platform as a transfer of funds or title. Terms are transparent to the parties they affect, and value created is shared fairly with the communities and actors who create it.

6. TRUST & INTEGRITY
Verification is a tier, not a vendor: self-declared is the floor; document-verified and partner-verified are higher tiers. Evidence carries an assurance level — self-reported, evidenced, assessed, or independently verified — and the platform records verification without replacing the verifier. Four access levels (public, member, restricted, confidential) govern who can read opportunities, evidence and documents. Member-visible profiles are not a license to read another organization's restricted or confidential files.

When Operating Standard v1 is ratified, this placeholder is superseded. Your acceptance remains on file against the version hash you signed.

Impact Protocol

An append-only evidence trail aligned with the FF Impact Protocol. Evidence can be added at any point in the lifecycle — before, during and after an opportunity — and is never edited or deleted. An incorrect or outdated record is corrected by a new superseding record; the original stays on the trail marked superseded, and a dispute is itself a record.

  What counts as a regenerative outcome for a given application or landscape.

• Indicators

  Indicator sets with codes, units and dimensions — the first land set is seeded.

• Responsibilities

  Every record names a responsible party and the actor who wrote it.

• Assessment

  Qualified members review evidence against the criteria and record their assessment.

• Verification

  Independent parties verify; the platform records the verification without replacing the verifier.

• Scoring

  Readiness and impact scores derived from assessed and verified evidence.

• Governance

  Decision records and steward oversight over criteria, indicator sets and disputes.

• Outcome measurement

  Baselines and measurements against indicators, linked to the evidence that supports them.

• Learning

  Lessons recorded against opportunities and fed back into standards and intelligence.

Indicator sets, baselines, measurements and impact verifications already exist in the schema. The measurement UI ships in phase 3; until then evidence records, assurance levels and supersession carry the protocol.

Assurance levels

Every evidence record carries one of four assurance levels. Higher levels name who assessed or verified the record and when.

   Declared by the responsible party. No supporting material reviewed.

   Evidenced

   Supported by a document, dataset, sensor feed, or platform-recorded action.

3. 3

   Assessed

   Reviewed and assessed by a qualified member or expert against the relevant criteria.

4. 4

   Independently verified

   Verified by an independent third party or authority. The platform records the verification; it does not replace the verifier.

Access levels

Opportunities, evidence records and documents each carry an access level. Row-level security in the database enforces it; the UI shows it as a badge.

  Anyone, including anonymous readers of the public API.

• Member

  Any signed-in member of the platform.

• Restricted

  Opportunity participants, members of the owning organization, and stewards.

• Confidential

  Admins of the owning organization and stewards only.

The Impact Hub is the orchestration spine running across the Fellow Future platform, connecting actors, opportunities, intelligence, capabilities, decisions, pathways, evidence and outcomes through one shared model.
